Tata rewrote the Curvv's price list. The diesel automatic barely made the cut.
Six trims, 26 configurations, ₹9.99 lakh to ₹18.75 lakh, and the two-pedal diesel now lives only at the very top.
- Tata replaced the Curvv's petrol and diesel range on 3 September 2026 with six Series X trims across 26 configurations.
- Prices start at ₹9.99 lakh ex-showroom and run to ₹18.75 lakh for the top diesel automatic.
- The 10.25-inch screen, wireless smartphone mirroring and the panoramic sunroof now begin one rung above the base.
- The diesel automatic has been deleted from every trim except the most expensive one.
Not a facelift. Not a price cut. Tata took the Curvv's variant ladder apart and put it back together with the interesting bits moved.
Tata replaced the petrol and diesel Curvv range on 3 September 2026 with the Series X ladder: Smart X, Pure X, Pure X Plus, Creative X Plus, Accomplished X and Accomplished X Plus, each with an optional Dark pack, adding up to 26 engine and gearbox combinations. Tata's own price banner opens the range at ₹9.99 lakh ex-showroom, with the top diesel automatic at ₹18.75 lakh. The engines are untouched: the 1.2 Revotron turbo-petrol at 120hp and 170Nm, the 1.2 Hyperion GDI at 125hp and 225Nm, and the 1.5 Kryojet diesel at 118hp and 260Nm. Kit slides downmarket, with the 10.25-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and CarPlay and the panoramic sunroof now starting from Pure X, and the rear bench moved 20mm back and 10mm lower.
The generosity is paid for in choice. The automatic premium falls from roughly ₹1.5 lakh to ₹1.3 lakh, but the diesel automatic now exists only at the very top of the range. If you wanted a mid-spec Curvv with an oil-burner and two pedals, that car no longer exists.
More kit, fewer doors into it.
