Two batteries, seven variants, and a headline that belongs to neither end of the price list.
Kia launched the Syros EV on 23 July 2026, seven variants from ₹13.49 lakh to ₹19.99 lakh ex-showroom, reaching dealerships from 30 July. There are two front-wheel-drive powertrains. The 42 kWh pack makes 135 hp and claims 443 km on the MIDC cycle; the 51.4 kWh Extended Range pack makes 171 hp and claims 526 km. Both make 255 Nm. Six airbags are standard throughout, and Kia has wrapped the launch in a lifetime warranty on the high-voltage battery plus a Battery-as-a-Service scheme opening at ₹7.99 lakh.
The 526 km on the poster is the ER pack, and the cheapest car carrying it is the HTK+ ER at ₹16.99 lakh, ₹3.50 lakh above the number in the advert. The Level 2 driver assistance and the 360-degree camera go one better: they appear on exactly one variant, the X-Line ER at ₹19.99 lakh, right at the top. A small electric SUV starting under ₹13.50 lakh is genuinely useful news for Indian buyers. It is simply not the same car as the one in the specification sheet.
Read the trim name before you read the range figure.
