LFP battery (lithium iron phosphate)

LFP is a lithium-ion battery with iron phosphate in the cathode. It holds less energy per kilo than NMC, but it lasts about twice as many charges, copes better with heat and costs less per kWh. It can usually be charged to 100% without wearing it much faster, though your car's manual comes first.

In axler8's data, most electric cars that start under Rs 40 lakh use LFP.
