NMC battery (nickel manganese cobalt)

NMC is a lithium-ion battery with nickel, manganese and cobalt oxide in the cathode. It holds more energy per kilo than LFP, which helps range and weight, but it costs more and ages faster when it sits at a high charge or in heat, so the usual advice is to keep it between about 20% and 80% day to day. Your car's manual comes first.

In axler8's data, most electric cars that start above Rs 40 lakh use NMC. The Creta Electric, Carens Clavis EV, Syros EV and ZS EV use it at a lower price.
