The Kylaq Sportline is a costume. The good news is further down the press release.

₹11.32 lakh for black alloys and a sunroof, same 115 hp. Meanwhile the base car quietly got climate control.

  • The Kylaq Sportline costs ₹11.32 lakh with the manual and ₹12.32 lakh with the automatic. The gap is exactly ₹1 lakh.
  • It is a styling and kit trim. The 1.0 TSI still makes 115hp and 178Nm.
  • The quieter half of the announcement matters more, auto climate control and a rear defogger now start from the base Classic.
  • Skoda's smallest SUV keeps its five-star Bharat NCAP result and six airbags.

A black-alloy costume for Skoda's cheapest SUV, and a much duller line further down the press release that is worth more to most buyers.

Skoda launched the Kylaq Sportline on 20 August 2026 at ₹11.32 lakh with the six-speed manual and ₹12.32 lakh with the six-speed automatic, ex-showroom, slotting between the Signature Plus and Prestige trims. The 1.0 TSI is untouched at 115hp and 178Nm. What you get for the badge is Deep Black mirrors, gloss-black diffusers, a dual-tone floating roof, 17-inch black alloys and Sportline lettering on the C-pillar, plus a dark cabin with contrast-stitched leatherette. The kit list runs to an electric sunroof, Climatronic, wireless charging, a 25.6cm touchscreen and a 20.32cm virtual cockpit, on top of six airbags and the Kylaq's five-star Bharat NCAP rating.

The Sportline is a costume, and a good one. The sentence buried under it is the actual news: Skoda has added Climatronic auto air conditioning and a rear defogger to the base Classic and Classic Plus. In an Indian summer, in a car this cheap, that is worth more than any number of black wheels.

Same engine, darker heels, better base car.
