Bharat NCAP

Bharat NCAP is India's government crash-test programme, run to the AIS-197 standard since October 2023. Cars get separate star ratings for adult and child occupants from a 64 km/h frontal offset crash, a 50 km/h side crash and a 29 km/h side pole crash, and 3 stars or more also require fitments such as ESC. The carmaker submits the car and the base variant is rated, with optional extra variants.

Compare stars only within the same programme: Bharat NCAP and Global NCAP ratings come from different protocols.
