A factory-fitted CNG car is built and type-approved with its kit. A dealer-fitted or retrofitted kit is added later: the kit must be type-approved by a testing agency such as ARAI, and the change must be endorsed on the RC. Ask how the carmaker's warranty treats a retrofitted kit; factory fitment is the simpler choice where it is offered.
