A DCT is an automated gearbox with two clutches, one for the odd gears and one for the even gears, so the next gear is ready and shifts are very quick. Volkswagen and Skoda call it DSG and Tata calls it DCA. It is efficient and sporty, but some versions can hesitate or judder at crawling speeds.
In heavy stop-start traffic, check the record of the specific gearbox, especially dry-clutch units; the survey can filter DCTs out.
