Halogen and LED describe the light source: LEDs are whiter, more efficient and longer lasting than halogen bulbs. Projector and reflector describe the optics: a projector lens gives a sharper cut-off and a more controlled beam. A well-designed halogen projector can light the road better than a cheap LED reflector, so judge headlamps at night on a test drive if you can.
