The levels come from the SAE J3016 standard, which runs from Level 0 (no automation) to Level 5 (the car drives itself everywhere). Level 2 means the car can steer and control its speed at the same time, for example lane centring together with adaptive cruise control, while the driver watches the road and stays responsible. No car on sale in India drives itself, and brochures use 'Level 2' loosely.
Treat Level 2 as help on a well-marked highway, not as hands-off driving.
