Automatic (AT)

An automatic car changes gear by itself and has no clutch pedal. 'Automatic' covers several gearboxes that drive quite differently: AMT, torque converter, CVT and DCT, plus the single-speed drive in most EVs. On spec sheets 'AT' usually means a torque converter.

Pick the type, not just 'automatic': an AMT and a torque converter feel very different in traffic.
